Constituting the portion of the now inactive progressive rock band “Atomic Bush”, the Night Band would put you gently
through the neo-classical/folk songs even if you are that attitude fueled
teenager whom wouldn't listen to anything except for auto-tuned Hip-Hop
playlist or screaming guitars. Involving a decent range of Nepalese cultural
musical instrument as Basuri, Sarangi,
Dhime and lot others, they serve a specific Nepalese social agenda through
musical expression. The presence of Bibhusan
Basnet, also the director of “The Contagious Apparitions of Dambary
Dendrite” completes the band project with unique ideas that has been rarely
thought of.
Besides, Bibhusan
Basnet runs his own production company Silence Entertainment Pvt. Ltd that
is renown for holding their flagship metal concert sequel event Silence
Festival featuring national and international metal bands as Sikth, Alogarithm, Bemoth,Kalodin etc.
Check out their recent m/v “Kathor” to get what it was actually tried to convey J and try not missing
out their upcoming album “Ani Ukali
Sangai Orali”
While Bibhusan got into expression of Nepalese social agenda
through film making and music (via Night Band), the other better portion of
Atomic Bush, Sunny Tuladhar ended up serving
his part time duties at progressive alternative rock band “Jindabaad!!!” with
another talent “Rohit Sakhya” and the rest which I personally believe resembles the
progression of American progressive band “Dream Theater”. While abiding to English language as the
mother tongue of the band, Jindabaad!!! often fascinated their listeners with
unique western music style that has been rarely observed in Nepalese Rock
Scene. Their latest album “Plastic Heart” fared well among audiences preferring
the similar music kind.
Just to let know, Sunny
Tuladhar runs his own freelancing business of building classy custom
guitars, while Rohit Shakya runs Fuzz
Factory Productions that has presented now favoured artists like Topi, Aastha Tamang Maskey, Rohit John
Chettri, Sammridhhi Rai, Underside etc on screens.
Check out their m/v “Rewind” that will let you know more of
their kind.
And just to know from where all the goodness in the two
bands came from, one should acknowledge the product of their original source
“Atomic Bush”, and the product is no other than the phenomenal and legendary, “Sano Prokash” \m/
